沖縄出身の2003年生まれ。
日本を拠点に活動するクラゲアーティスト・マルチメディアアーティスト・マルチ演奏家・作曲家。
中学時代にクラゲに魅了され、現在はクラゲの拍動リズムやクラゲと脳波を用いた音楽療法について研究。そのほか、VR音楽療法に関する研究など多数のプロジェクトに所属。PLやPMとしても、展示運営や空間演出で多数のプロジェクトに携わる。生物リズムと神経科学、音楽表現の交差点を探り、「NIME2024」「ISCA2024」「NIME2025」など国内外で発表を重ねている。


Kenshiro Taira is a Jellyfish Bio Artist / Multi-Media Artist / Multi-Instrumentalist / Composer based in Japan. Currently based at Keio University’s x-Music Lab, he conducts research exploring bio-integrated music systems, particularly focusing on the generation of music through jellyfish pulsations. His work investigates the intersection of biological rhythms, neuroscience, and musical expression, and has been exhibited internationally, including at NIME (New Interfaces for Musical Expression) 2024 in Utrecht, Netherlands. As part of his research, he also explores new interfaces for musical expression, examining how biological signals can shape sound and perception in innovative ways.
